There are a number of ways you can get involved with BYFA from volunteering to being a patron.



Michael McKell was born in London and in the 1980s he was a prolific singer and song-writer. He studied acting for three years at the Lee Strasberg Institute and began on stage, in classical roles, making his West End debut in the musical Blood Brothers. 

He is best known for appearing in two British soap operas, Doctors, in which he played Dr. Nick West from 2006 - 2008. Emmerdale, in which he played DC Nick Henshall from 2008 to 2011. EastEnders as the hitman Carter who supposedly killed Paul Trueman.

Further TV credits include D.S./D.I. Trevor Hands in two seasons of the ITV drama Murder Investigation Team, two seasons of Channel 4's Totally Frank and the BBC One series Blessed, playing Ronnie, a Jaggeresque musician. 

Michaels film credits include the cult film Essex Boys alongside Sean Bean as drug dealer Wayne Lovell. Other films include Beneath Still Waters, Act's Of Godfrey, The Low Down, Blood, Bar, Death, Freight, Shouting Men, Outpost: Rise of the Spetsnaz, Who Needs Enemies, Allied and Abatement amongst others.
